Accounting Receivables

Manage your company's accounts receivable business and
prescription charges with the Abacus Accounts Receivable
(A/R) System. This easy-to-use system works interactively
with the Abacus Pharmacy System, sharing the same company
and patient files. By using both systems, you can easily
charge prescriptions or copays to a patient's account during
					the prescription filling process.

With Abacus A/R you can perform all traditional accounts
receivable functions—from setting up and maintaining a
customer's charge account to producing a monthly statement
of accounts. In addition, you can choose to use the
balance-forward or open-item method of accounting. In Abacus
A/R, balance-forward is easy to learn, maintain, and
operate, and is the most commonly used accounting method for
retail stores. Open-item requires more entry and maintenance
time, yet provides the detailed information and increased
audit control valuable when an institution, such as a
nursing home, an insurance company, or worker's
compensation, pays for a specific charge.

Easily view patient and insurance carrier balances, send
statements, and print detailed accounts receivable aging
reports by patient or carrier. Enjoy comprehensive financial
data management with easy posting, reporting and tracking of
private pay and facility charges with a variety of accounts
receivable reports. Easily process statements, trial
balances and departmental reports with electronic claims
					reconciliation.

The accounts receivable feature is integrated and included.
It provides a full patient balance, statements, reports and
accurate audit trail accountability. It also provides the
ability to administer password protection options when
necessary. You  can post charges, payments, or credits to a
customer's account, view transactions from their current or
prior billing period and, when needed, to reprint a
					statement for that period.
